First big disclaimer: This is the least certain I have been of my annual movie list's completeness. But I'm pretty sure it's darn close.
Second big disclaimer: Sorry this is late.
Ride Along: I like Kevin Hart. He's funny.
12 Years a Slave: Incredible, Emotional.
The LEGO Movie: Very different, but also incredible, and even a little emotional.
Wolf of Wall Street: I was underwhelmed.
Anchorman 2: The first, censored release was actually pretty funny.
300: Rise of an Empire: Not as good as the first.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Surprisingly Fantastic. Like, Iron-Man-1 good.
Godzilla: I miss Breaking Bad. But yeah pretty awesome.
X-Men: Days of Future Past (twice): SO. GOOD.
A Million Ways to Die in the West: Panned, I know, but I laughed a lot.
Edge of Tomorrow: Seriously incredible. I almost forgot it was Tom Cruise.
22 Jump Street: A rare sequel that's better than the first.
Transformers: Age of Extinction: Complete horrible rubbish from beginning to end.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (twice): Absolutely Fantastic.
Hercules (twice): Shouldn't have seen it twice. But I totes mancrush on The Rock.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Chris Pratt, and this whole movie, was incredible.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (twice): Probably didn't need two viewings. But it wasn't terrible.
Gone Girl: Seriously riveting. About ten minutes too long, or short.
Birdman: MIND. BULL. OWN. Totally deserved its Oscar.
Interstellar: Most feels in a sci-fi movie EVAR. Excellent, excellent film.
Equalizer: Extremely satisfying Denzel flick. That man can't fail.
John Wick: This man almost always disappoints. But not this time. FANTASTIC action flick.
The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies: A little longer than it needed to be. OK, quite a bit longer.
Unbroken: An incredible story of strength and forgiveness. A slightly disappointing movie.
So there you have it. 28 trips to the theater, a very low number for me. But then again, honestly, this wasn't an amazing year for the movies. This is possibly just 20/20 hindsight I know, but have you SEEN the list of what's coming out in 2015!? So, so much to looks forward. Here's to breaking 30 trips to the cinema this year.
